All fur harvester courses are currently on hold while discussions with the Department of Natural Resources are ongoing. We hope to resume offering these courses in the fall once those discussions are completed.
The Trappers Association of Nova Scotia delivers the Fur Harvester Education Courses on behalf of the NS Department of Natural Resources. You must go online at huntns.ca to sign up. You will only be able to sign up when there are actual dates set.
Typically there are one or two spring course held in April in the Shubenacadie (locations my change) and three or four fall courses held in September at Tusket, Baddeck or Whycocomagh and Shubenacadie (locations and dates may change.)
Tentative Dates for courses are:
