The Trappers Association of Nova Scotia was formed in 1968 and represents the interests of the 1500 trappers in Nova Scotia. The organization is led by a board of directors who are nominated and elected each year. These nominations and elections take place at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held each year. All members are encouraged to attend and participate in this meeting. This board of directors meets four times a year. The director’s contact list is mailed to all members in the first newsletter after the AGM. The directors may be contacted throughout the year with any concerns or issues the members feel are important. All members receive a newsletter that is sent quarterly.
We are pleased to offer an Associate Junior Member Category, in an effort to involve the youth in trapping and keep them informed the board has created this category. The cost is $10.00/year for those under 18 years of age, you will be sent the TANS newsletters throughout year.
New members are always welcome. To join, please fill out the Annual Membership Form or the Lifetime Membership Form.
